Part 13 of The Complete Girl Scout Guide to Traveling to Savannah, Georgia
One of the last minute projects and surprises for the girls was a trip binder and travel journal. When the girls arrived at the train station (or when we met up with them at the hotel) they received a baggie of pre-packaged snacks (granola bars and mixed nuts), their troop t-shirt, and trip binder (including travel journal). The binders included a pencil pouch with their $35 spending money inside and some stickers for their travel journal. Three sheet protectors were inside the binders with the schedule for each day. The travel journals were small composition books (half sized) with fun activities inside; photo scavenger hunt, sites to see, history of popular sites, and murals to find around town. There were also some journal prompts for the girls to complete.
