Wordless Wednesday – Halloween (in Real Life)
These are my babies! OK, only the two on the left are my real kids (worker man and China doll). The others are my best friends' children...but I call them my own! The first time we took this photo there were only 3 of them and they were only 3 yrs old! In an effort to stay eco-friendly both of my kids got to pick their costume from their large stash of dress up clothes. This is what he choose. He collected candy in his box. My 'real life' friends! We've been friends for 5-6 years since I moved to the area. I love my gals! (I'm the one in the white shirt - my son called me an eco-witch.) My 'costume' (if you can call it that) was stolen from my kids dress up box. I'm wearing his Darth Vadar cape, her witch hat, and you can't see it but I have a green extension in (stolen from the Rockin' Green gals at the ABC Expo.) So there you have it, a glimpse into my real life outside of my computer. This is where I try to keep myself grounded and remind myself about what really ... [ Read More ]

Wordless Wednesday
She's been gone for almost 2 weeks and I'm missing her badly. She comes home tomorrow from her road trip with Grandma & Papa. She said, "No go home!" on the phone today but that she missed her "Bubba & Champ!" (big brother and the puppy). She saw the bag sitting on the floor and hopped right in. It's a perfect beach bag and held all 4 of our towels plus our snacks for the day. Now it's sitting under my desk holding a few other goodies I have to share with you. It's also been used to tote toys back to the tots room and to tote clean diapers to their shelf. How would you use a bag this big? Scout by Bungalow: Scout is a line of durable and adorable totes, lunch bags, storage tools and much more - unlike canvas, these can be wiped down and are perfect for kids (and outdoor activities). By being affordable, durable and stylish, these are reusable bags that you'll want to be seen with. This bag is called the Deano. Follow Scout on Facebook or ... [ Read More ]

Wordless Wednesday
Have you ever known me to go 'wordless' with my pictures? NO! Lil' B loved her baby doll diaper that I got her from Etsy (more on that later) and the one that I made her. She kept saying "baby poo poo" and changing her baby. It was precious. It was a great ending to our day. Day care update: The first day went well but I had forgotten about one 'joy' that comes along with day care...the meltdown period when she gets home! My son would do this too but when they get home they want to be held the entire time and are on the verge of total, complete, meltdown city! It was a long night filled with birthday cupcakes, presents, and lots of tears. I was so tired from yesterday that I was asleep in bed at 9:30pm - no blogging, very little tweeting, and no time for a glass of wine! Maybe it was mommy who had the meltdown! LOL! I wanted to thank all of my friends who provided me with tweets and FB comments of support yesterday. I really needed it. And to my real life ... [ Read More ]
