Description
One of the first trees my husband and I planted in the yard of our first home (back in Georgia) was a dogwood. My parents always had a love for dogwood trees and we had many of them on our property growing up. As an adult I realized my grandmother also had dogwood trees in her backyard. Sadly they don’t grow as well in Florida so I don’t get to enjoy their beauty as often. Now they will bloom year round inside my home and fill my heart with joy and fond memories.
Hand drawn dogwood flowers on the “dogwood” page of a 1948 Websters Dictionary passed down by my grandmother. Pen and ink with colored pencil accents.
