…and the countdown to Christmas continues! Did you forget someone on your Christmas list? Still stumped on what to get someone? It’s practically too late to order an actual gift from Amazon or any online store (unless you pay through the nose for shipping).
This post is in partnership with Florida Prepaid College Plans as part of their Starting is Believing campaign. All opinions are my own and may not reflect those of the company.
Creative Last Minute Gift Ideas
Homemade Anything: I tend to be on the crafty DIY side and I truly enjoy making gifts for people. I don’t have a ton of time to be crafty but I try to make at least a few gifts each year. This year my daughter and I made some homemade bath bombs!
Experiences: Let’s admit it, most of the people on our gift giving list would rather spend quality time with you instead of getting an item you found at the store. The list of experience gifts are endless; a day at the beach, a visit to a local theme park, indoor skydiving at iFly (I’m currently working with the Tampa iFly as a client to plan a visit for my family in January), etc.
Painted Rocks: You know that I’m addicted to painting rocks, but I love sharing my rocks with family and friends. They are always in awe of my finished rocks and would love to receive one (or two) as a gift. Even better, invite them over to have a rock painting party and swap the rocks that you create!
Gift Certificates: I’m a fan of giving gift certificates to their favorite stores so that they can treat themselves to something they really want. Some people are just hard to shop for and won’t tell you what they really want. For a new family with a baby or young child, consider a gift certificate to Kelly’s Closet for cloth diapers, diaper bags, or other baby essentials.
College Savings Plan: You kids (nephews, nieces, grandchildren, etc) are growing up way too quickly. In a blink of an eye they will be entering college and having to worry about how they are going to afford everything. Set them up with a 2-Year Florida College Plan or add money to an existing of the Florida Prepaid College Plans. Most plans allow for multiple purchasers to buy a plan for the same child and every cent of the value of the 2-Year Florida College Plan can be applied to any university or college nationwide (and it’s guaranteed by the state of Florida). Use promo code CALLEY1718 and save $25 off the application fee during open enrollment.
What else would you add to this list? Who else do you have to shop for still?

These are all fantastic ideas! I want to dry DIY bath bombs so bad – did you find it difficult? (aka, what were your mistakes so I don’t make them) 😉 What kind of scent(s) did you do, I would love more info on your experiences with it!
I also love the idea of giving the gift of experiences (especially ones you can do together like indoor skydiving). Last minute wonders, honestly! Thanks for sharing!
We’re all about canning at my house, so have a stockpile of relish, jam, pickles, etc. Anytime there’s a last minute gift thing, we raid out stockpile, and put a few of them into a gift bag with tissue paper. It’s perfect, and also very cheap!
