Do you like Peeps®? These marshmallow chicks have been my favorite since childhood and they keep getting better. Did you know that they have Sugar Free Peeps®? I had no idea until Peeps & Company® sent me a box filled with these sugar free chicks (thank you Peeps…yummy). While they are tasty on their own, it’s always fun to find a new way to use Peeps® in a recipe or DIY craft project. The PEEPS & COMPANY® products, information, and additional gift pack have been provided by PEEPS & COMPANY®.
I have been craving a good ole’ fashioned Fluffernutter sandwich. My aunt and cousins in Ohio introduced this little treat to me when I was around ten and I think I lived on it for years growing up. You just slap some peanut butter on your bread and cover it with marshmallow fluff.
Fast forward to 2016 and we don’t even have peanut butter in the house today because my kids school is a nut-free school, but I do have sunbutter!!
Introducing the Grilled Peep‘ernutter Sammy
Directions for the perfect Grilled Peep’ernutter Sammy: Smear a layer of peanut butter (or sunbutter) on both sides of your bread. Add 2-4 Peeps® for desired gooeyness. Spritz a thin layer of butter in your hot pan and on the outside of the bread. Close sammy and grill to desired temperature; allowing time for the Peeps® to fully melt inside the bread. Cut and eat!
My kids looked at my funny when I served it to them, I’m not sure they’ve ever had a Fluffernutter before!! I’ve failed my children…until today! While they enjoyed the sammy, I think they prefer their Peeps® plain because the rest of the box is gone!

Yum! I read an interview from the director of 10 Cloverfield Lane stating the cast’s favorite snack was fluffernutters, I’d never made one but now I know. With Harper’s dairy allergy Peeps are on her rather short “safe” list so I’m sure a few of these will be in her basket. Can’t wait to try some with cashew butter!
I used to always put my peeps in the microwave and let them blow up 🙂 Now I just eat them plain!
