It’s been a pretty crazy year for our family but it’s been great! I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I’m glad that you’ve joined us as we continue our parenting journey…on the green side when possible!
I wanted to share with you some of my favorite posts from 2013 along with those that you’ve read the most! If you haven’t read them yet, I hope you enjoy them.
Starting off 2013 I shared my lack of baking abilities as I attempted to make Hello Kitty cake pops. My post “How to Make Hello Kitty Cake Pops” even made the Pinterest Fail blog this year. This year I’m letting someone else make lil’ B’s birthday cake…that’s in 4 days!!
Next up is a little bit of sass with some not-so-popular baby registry items. When I wrote this I was showing how some of the “popular” baby registry items can provide crutches to overly tired new moms. It received some supportive and not-so-supportive comments due to my sass. Perhaps I shouldn’t have added the crib as an item you don’t need (after all we did have one). Curious to know what all the stink was about? 10 Things You Can Leave OFF Your Baby Registry! I should also mention that I followed it with a very similar list (with less snark), 10 “Green” Things Every Baby Registry Should Include!
Once upon a time I played a very addicting game called Candy Crush….I gave up that addiction after I got stuck on level 71 for a month. Anyone still playing? Enjoy The Candy Crush Curse!
Since I still work in the cloth diaper industry I find myself writing about cloth diapers even though my own children are out of them! Here are some of my favorite cloth diaper related posts of 2013!
10 non-cloth diapering uses for CJ’s BUTTer
A Cloth Diaper Baby Shower Gift Under $30
How to Make a Cloth Diaper Baby Gift Basket
One of my favorite posts of the year was my Tips to Green Your Menstrual Cycle! Do you have a Greener Period with Menstrual Cups and Mama Cloth?
Did you know that I write for other blogs too? I am the primary contributor for the DiaperShops.com blog which hosts some amazing cloth diaper resources. I’m also a local Tampa Bay blogger on the Tampa Bay Moms Blog. On the TBMB I’ve written about cooking, Rainbow Looms, Halloween Costumes, and even cloth diapers!
I hope you and your family have enjoyed 2013 and wish you a very Happy 2014! I hope you’ll continue the adventure with my family! See you next year!
