It was such a beautiful day outside that I decided to turn off the television and move the kids outdoors. We also decided to give our Mini micro scooter (by Kickboard USA) a test drive. Lil’ B is always wanting to keep up with her big brother but with a 6 year age gap between them, she is often trying things that are a little advanced for her.
Last year they both got new scooters. He got an electric scooter which he zips around the neighborhood on, at speeds that scare his mama. She got a Princess scooter that is the right size for her, but she has trouble balancing on just 2 wheels. Thus, my excitement when the Mini micro arrived!
Kickboard USA is a distributor for the Swiss Micro-Mobility company that makes scooters and kickboards for all ages from 1 yr through adults. The US team brings these great products to all of us here in the States.
The Mini is perfect for kids age 3-5 and up to about 44lbs. Knowing that she’s a lightweight little thing I know the Mini will work for her for at least 1-2 years before she’ll need to move up to the Maxi. The Mini features 3 wheels, gentle axel steering and a low-to-the-ground deck, which helps make it extremely stable for your little one. It was so easy for Lil’ B to steer and light enough that she could pick it up if needed (only 3.3 lbs). The Mini also comes in a rainbow of colors so there is a unique Mini that is perfect for your child.
I love our lazy afternoons playing in the front yard and watching the kids scoot around the neighborhood chasing after one another. It’s nice that she can feel like a big girl and ride along with her big brother.
…and when she gets bored with it, big brother can get some air as he tries out some stunts on the Mini. At 10 years old, he’s a lightweight himself at only 55lbs so I don’t think he’ll do much harm to it. I’m proud to say that it survived his abuse.
After riding up and down the sidewalk she decided it was time to play a little hide-n-seek behind the Mini. Clearly she has a mind of her own and doesn’t follow the owners manual too closely.
