For us school starts back in just 2 weeks and I’m already starting to think about how to make our lunch box routine more fun. I actually got to practice last week while my youngest was in gymnastics camp and played with some easy bento lunches. You can see some of them on Instagram under #bentoaday hashtag (you can also look under #bittybentos and #playwithyourfood), here is one of my favorites.
I’m really excited to share some of my favorite lunch box ideas that have been featured by Stonyfield Organics in their Rock the Lunch Box campaign this summer.
Twitter Party Alert!!! #rockthelunchbox with @Stonyfield Tuesday night, August 6th at 8pm ET.
You may have seen one of our lunches featured on the YoKids Yogurt Facebook page cover photo. The picture on the far left (the last one below)….that’s ours!! Here are a few other lunch box ideas that I submitted to Stonyfield for the campaign.
Finally, I was honored to be invited to the BJ’s Wholesale club last week for a Back-to-School VIP tour and lunch box makeover session. I’ll be sharing some ideas later this week from that tour but here are a few sneak peek photos from the visit.
If you’re shopping for back to school lunch supplies check out BJ’s Wholesale and Bentoaday on Etsy. Don’t forget to add Stonyfield Yogurt, Annie’s, Organic Valley, and Honest Kid to your grocery list – they are all healthy and you can count on these companies to NOT hide things (like GMOs) in their products. In fact, if no-GMO’s in your food is important to your family Stonyfield has a #YogurtCupTradeUp program going on now that you may be interested in.
Are you ready to #RocktheLunchBox this year? Stay tuned as I share some lunch box ideas later this week along with some fun recipes. I promise they won’t be too time consuming, if this full-time working mom of two can do it – so can you!
Disclosure: Some of the companies mentioned in this post provided me with products for review/compensation. Some of the companies mentioned did NOT provide me with anything other than great service and wonderful products that I paid for. Either way, my opinions are always honest.

I love the little ‘picks’ but have no idea where to get them. If you search Bento all you find is ordering from overseas, and I’d love to find a more local source!
We’ll be packing lunches in another year, it would be so great to have amassed a collection of fun items so I’m not looking for back to school/holidays/etc when they’re coming up and possibly miss them! So far I’ve used cookie cutters to cut bread into shapes and sometimes done cheese or lunchmeat, etc. I want to find a good solid lunch set or at least a box that I can use more than one rotating set of containers in. A must have for us a a thermos and/or food container, for ‘hot’ items and drinks.
