Green Your Vagina with Cloth Pads @TheEcoChicYes, you can “green” your vagina by using cloth pads.

Late last week I shared my opinions on how to have a greener period (menstrual cycle) by using cloth pads, menstrual cups, or other more natural options.  One of my favorite cloth pad companies is Pink Lemonade.

The owner of Pink Lemonade is a work-at-home mom (Sue), who has 4 children.  The Etsy Pink Lemonade shop has been open since 2007 and is incredibly popular and well known for their high quality fabrics, fun prints, and superior products.  Sue herself is a self-proclaimed “fabric snob” and only uses the very best fabrics such as; hand dyed bamboo velour, luxurious soft minky, and designer cotton wovens.

Pink Lemonade cloth menstrual pads are available in a wide variety of sizes to fit all women and flow; including postpartum pads.  Sue has been kind enough to giveaway one $25 credit to her store to a lucky Eco Chic reader.  To enter follow the steps in the Rafflecopter application.

Disclosure: Samples of the Pink Lemonade line of cloth pads were provided to The Eco Chic free of charge to review.  All opinions are my own.

I am postpartum but done bleeding. My main obstacle to not getting cloth pads is the upfront cost for them and also because I’m afraid of losing them each month and having to refind them.

I just started wearing a cup yesterday – it’s been years and I’m tired of throwing away so much trash every month. But it’s going to take some getting used to. I would love some cloth liners to go with it.

I haven’t used either one yet. I don’t like pads (I want to win this for my teenagers) and coming up with enough money for a cup all at once is difficult. I’m breastfeeding and not having cycles so I’m trying to save the money I would be spending on tampons to get a cup when my cycles return.

I have the Diva cup and the Fleurcup and recently received my first few orders of cloth pads (so I haven’t officially used them yet). Cups are great but I haven’t been able to wear them without back-up unless it’s a really light day. I do like the cups because they help to alleviate the intensity of heavier days.

I do! and I actually use Pink Lemonade Shop! And lunette cup when I go to the gym or am going to be out of the house all day and can’t remember to bring pads to change. I absolutely love Sue’s work. I am in love with my obv pads and pantyliners, and bought a raw silk set too because they are anti-microbial.

I recently made the switch to the Divacup and Lunapads. It took a few cycles to get used to it, and now it’s just amazing and I’m never going back to disposable pads and tampons. It’s changed my life.

I currently use disposable and have only just recently learned about cloth…. I’m very interested in trying, just hesitant to buy as I don’t know which ones to choose to try for me which is why I’m here. I would love to win to give them a try. I’d really like to try, just need somewhere to start. Thank you.

I recently started cloth diapering, so using cloth pads seems like a logical next step on my road to being greener (and more frugal!). I’m hesitant to buy in case I don’t get a brand I like, so I hope I win this giveaway and get to try out cloth pads without the risk! (I also just ordered a menstrual cup and am very excited to be done with tampons!)
