Annually National Geographic and Conservation International follow a group of leatherback sea turtles as they travel from Canada to the Caribbean. Last year Big B and I followed them online each day and cheered for our favorite turtle. This year we plan on doing the same. I’ve already chosen the turtle that I’ll be following – Cali! While we may share the same name, Cali is a male leatherback that has faced far greater challenges in his life than I ever have. Prior to the race Cali was found entangled in fishing line and unable to swim.
