More Cloth Diaper Reviews

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to have new content delivered to your inbox! I hope to see you on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I have a lot of information on rock painting and cloth diapers in my archives if you're interested! Thanks for visiting!

Nice to see you again! Hope you're having a fabulous day! Can I help you with anything? Contact Me!

Over the past 2 days I’ve experimented with our cloth diapers and have made some good observations that I thought I would share with you all.

Bum Genius 3.0 One-Size:
Love the colors,  love the ease of use, love the material.
The sizing is still a bit big for my newborn (almost 8lbs now) but they work without leaking.
No leaking!
They wash up really nicely.  I followed the manufacturers directions and they are clean and fresh.  No staining.  (However, I did prerinse before I washed them.)

Bum Genius 3.0 Organic One-Size
Love the fabric…but hate the fit!  At least for my newborn the fit was not so hot.  The sides puckered out so they ended up leaking.  Thankfully I only have one of these!

Happy Heiny’s One Size
Like the fabric.  The fit was not as snug as the Bum’s and I’m afraid they would leak (at least at her size).  I also didn’t like the pocket that the insert stuffed into.  Compared to the Bum’s the pocket on the HH doesn’t close so I’m afraid again that it might leak if it was really wet.  Washed up nicely but the tabs didn’t stay on the laundry tabs real well.

I guess I will be using the Bum Genius 3.0 One-Size from now on!  Now…to purchase more than the 8 that I have of those!  LOL!  I’m NOT doing laundry every day…every few days is enough for me.

I love the BG 3.0s too!! I have 20 of them and LOVE THEM! How do you wash yours? I’m having issues with lingering smell afterwards. I pre rinse in cold, wash in hot, rinse 2x and still have issues with smell! I’m not ready to quit, but DH and I both think it’s gross to put a semi smelly diaper on a clean baby!!

Can you email me at Kelster5@aol.com ? Thanks a bunch! Love your site!!

      Kelly –
I washed mine once in cold and once in hot. But I pre-rinsed them immediately after removing them from Little B. From what I’ve read (we’ve only just begun using them) breastfed baby poo comes off easier. Also I’ve read that by laying them in the sun for a day the smell and stain will go away. You should also add a 1/4 cup of bleach to the last wash cycle occassionally. Try those things and let me know if it removes the smells.

Have you tried FuzziBunz? I used them on my son and loved them.
