I am so excited to finally be posting for PayPerPost. Have you heard of PayPerPost (PPP)? Well it’s a company out of Orlando, FL that works with advertisers and bloggers to promote businesses and products on blogs. I first heard about PPP over a year ago but at the time I didn’t have a public blog. Once I finally joined the blogging world with TheEcoChic I decided to look into PPP once again, and I’m glad that I did. Everyone enjoys making money and I’m no different; so this was another resource for me to make a little money off of my blog.
Even for a novice blogger like myself signing up was super easy. You simply go to PPP and enter your personal information and the information for them to see your blog. In about a day or two they approved my blog (they want to maintain good quality bloggers) and I was ready to go. They have a list of open opportunities on PPP and you can choose what you write about. That is very important to me since I really want to keep this blog about the environment. The coolest part was when I wrote my first post, it was approved in less than 24 hours. That means I started making money right away. How much money do you ask? Well posts can range from $5 all the way up to $100+ depending on the advertisers. I decided to first start making money to help pay for the fees associated with this blog (hosting, etc). Now I’m starting to think about what else I can do with the money. I’m going to donate a percentage of the money I make to environmental organizations. I need to do some research and decide who I should donate to and how much of my money should go to them. I’ll post more about that next week.
There is a whole community of Posties out there, some of which have been in my circle of friends for over a year now. Posties have online message boards and forums where they can get to know one another and get help and ideas too. I’m really excited about the opportunities that PPP provides the blogging community and can’t wait to tell you more about PPP as I learn more.
