Chronicles1

I’ll be the first to admit that I have my “blonde moments” and that I can be very absent minded. If I don’t set alarms and reminders for myself, I would likely forget everything.  For instance, I have an alarm set on my phone to remind me when to leave to pick up the kids from school.  Please don’t laugh, it’s true!

Exhibit 1: My current alarms set on my phone!

Do you notice anything different on Monday? I don’t pick the kids up until later because they are involved in after school activities.  Well on Monday of this week I realized that my alarm didn’t go off at its regular time, so I got in the car and drove to school.  I sat in car line just like every other day, but when I got to the front of the line my kids were nowhere to be found.  Anyone want to guess why?

Because it was Monday and they were in clubs and I was 45 minutes early to pick them up!

Thank goodness the teachers know me well, they giggled at my mishap and said, “we’ll see you in 45 minutes!”  Off I went to grab an iced coffee and return to school shortly after.

When was the last time you were absent minded?  Trust me, this isn’t the first or the last time for me.  I hope you enjoyed a laugh at my expense.

3T pants on my 18 month old son. He ways just as much as his three year old brother, so aside from the pool of cloth at his toes they fit fine. The kicker? I didn’t notice for 2 diaper changes. Doh.
