Social Fresh East 2013 – Tampa, FL – April 18-19th

April 2, 2013 By: Calley Pate2 Comments

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to have new content delivered to your inbox! I hope to see you on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I have a lot of information on cloth diapers in my archives if you're interested! Thanks for visiting!

I’ve been blogging for almost 8 years (wow, right) and I’m still learning something new almost every day.  I’ve been fortunate enough to have attended a few “mom blogger” conferences over the past few years but I’m ready to really dive in deep into social media and see what the big boys (and girls) are doing in their social networks.  Social Fresh is a social media conference that is recognized as one of the Top 10 Social Media Conferences.

social fresh eastHeld in Tampa, FL on April 18-19th, Social Fresh is bringing 15 amazing and inspiring speakers to discuss, brainstorm, network with the top industry leaders in social media.  Jason Keath is not only the CEO behind Social Fresh, but also a social media speaker, consultant, and analyst in the industry.  This years speakers include Chris Brogan, Katie Richman, Ted Rubin, and Spike Jones; along with other experts working in the industry.

This two day conference is unique from other conferences that I’ve attended.  Social Fresh focuses on a single track (no worry about missing out on anything in another room) with short, 30-minute sessions, group learning experiences, and no panels.  I’m excited to dive into the advanced social media sessions and really learn how to make the most of my existing networks.  Here are just a few of the exciting sessions that are available at Social Fresh East:

  • How To Develop Your Mobile First Social Strategy (Ian Schafer, Deep Focus)
  • The Impact Equation: Are you making things happen or just making noise? (Chris Brogran, Human Business Works)
  • The Key to Facebook Success: Ads+Social Promotion (Jim Tobin, Ignite Social Media)
  • Learn How to Leverage Voice of the Customer (Morgan Johnston, JetBlue)

Why do I want to go to Social Fresh?  Other “mom blogger” conferences that I’ve attended leave me wanting to learn more.  I’m more than just a “mom blogger” and work in eCommerce as a career.  I manage social media networks daily and want to know how to do it better.  What are the keys to success that big companies are already aware of?  How can I take my knowledge of social media and use it in a small business to really embrace the networks that we already have and use every day?  How can I do it better?  In addition to my career, I also consult with small businesses all the time on how they can use social media more effectively to bring them new customers and more sales.  I love seeing companies thrive on skills that I’ve taught them or because of projects we’ve partnered on.

Want to learn more about Social Fresh East social media conference?  Visit them online or on social media (of course).  You can find them on Facebook, Twitter, or follow their updates on their blog.

What would you like to learn from a social media conference?  Which speaker are you most excited about?  How do you use social media outside of your blog?  Do you work with companies, are you a company, or do you create products that you want to get into the hands of new customers?

I’m just a mom blogger. I occasionally get to do reviews. I would love to go to a blog conference locally. Are there ‘fresh ‘ones for the midwest, too?

I have the same question as Jill, but for the northeast. I’ve been giving a lot of thought lately to social media–I definitely have a love/hate relationship with it, but as a blogger, I know that I need it, and it often really, really helps me out!
