Join us on Saturday, April 21st for the 2nd Annual Great Cloth Diaper Change Tampa Bay and help us break last years Guinness World Record for the most babies changed into cloth diapers at the same time.
Hosted by The Parent Guide Tampa Bay and Tushie Ties Cloth Diapers (and a little help from myself) the Great Cloth Diaper Change is going to take place at Great Explorations Children’s Museum in St. Pete along with the Tampa Bay Baby Show.
Attendees of the Great Cloth Diaper Change will receive free admission (the day of the event) into Great Explorations when you pre-register for the event (which is free also). Over 100 families have already pre-registered for this years event and with your help we WILL break the world record (over 5,000 babies changed last year).
What is a diaper change? At 12:30pm ET parents all around the world (292+ locations) will simultaneously change their babies into a cloth diaper. This event is a fundraiser (donations can be made at the event) and cloth diaper awareness event organized by the Real Diaper Association (a non-profit organization who’s mission is to raise awareness and education about cloth diapering). Bring a blanket or changing mat, arrive early, and help us set a new world record.
There will be door prizes, goodie bags, and fun activities (like a Diaper Derby) scheduled throughout the day so plan to arrive early and stay a while. Great Explorations is a fun family museum that stimulates learning through creativity and play.
Door prizes include donations from EcoNuts Soap, EcoSprouts Laundry, EcoStore USA, Thirsties Baby, Project Pomona, BabyKicks, Dirty Diaper Laundry Apparel and more. I even hear that there is a B.O.B. Double Stroller that will given away at the Tampa Bay Baby Show.
Other exciting projects going on that day include a massive donation by Let’s Cloth Diaper Sarasota. Any diaper change attendee who presents their MediCaid or WIC card can receive a free pack of cloth diapers. Don’t worry if they run out they will mail them to you after the event. There will also be a donation box if you have spare cloth diapers that you would like to donate to Let’s Cloth Diaper Sarasota.
