I would like to introduce you to Tami from Kissed by the Moon; a cloth diapering mama and diapering retailer. I asked Tami a few questions about cloth diapering and her business and wanted to share them with you.
How long have you been in business?
Tami: We just opened this past August, even though this has been a dream in the making for a few years.
Do you have a local store or is your business online only?
Tami: We are online only- I am definitely an “online” person and love interacting with chat blogs, forums, and facebook.
Do you participate in any local community education and outreach for cloth diapers?
Tami: I am slowly finding out about the local cloth diapering community and meeting local mamas. I created a group on meetup.com called Cloth Diapering Mamas of Sacramento County, and am hosting the Great Cloth Diaper Change in Sacramento. If anyone locally wants to meet to discuss diapers, I am more than happy to meet up and chat diapers.
Using only 3 words how would you describe yourself?
Tami: Hardworking, passionate, and creative. I think to run any business you need to work hard and pour your heart and soul into it, but you also need to have passion for what you do and love it. Plus it doesn’t hurt to be creative and fun with it.
What is your favorite cloth diaper and why?
Tami: That’s a really tough question because I’m not a one-brand diaper girl. FuzziBunz and bumGenius are my go-to diapers that I’ve been using for years. I’ve just discovered the Thirsties Duo All in One diapers and they’ve been great for us. GroVia shells with organic pods are great too, as they dry quickly. And my latest finds are the Swaddlebees and Tots Bots! At night we use Rumparooz.
One cloth diapering tip you wish all your customers knew?
Tami: Don’t be too hard on yourself. If something doesn’t work, try something else. There are so many options and styles out there, that just because one kind doesn’t work, doesn’t mean that everything won’t. Cloth diapering should be fun.

My favorite diapers have come to be my Bottombumpers. Unfortunately Kissed By The Moon doesn’t carry them. But they do carry some of my prefered diapers, including BG 4.0 & Fuzzibunz OS

My favorite diaper has been the Fuzzibunz Elite, but having just tried a Ones & Twos, I have to say that it could become my new favorite. KBTM has both of them!

my favorite at the moment is bg freetime, which you can order. but i just placed an order w Kissed by the moon for a swaddlebees(and i just received shipping confirmation the next day!) so im hoping im going to love my swaddlebees for something really trim!
i love softbums and thirsties and yes, the are available at kissed by the moon.
I don’t have a favorite diaper, but they do have BG Freetime in Albert (I want one soooo badly), so that is nice… They have a great selection of diapers!
My favorite cloth diapers are anything Thirsties brand. And she has lots at Kissed by the moon.

My favorite is a WAHM brand called ThreeMonkeys…you don’t carry it :(.

My favorite diapers (although I like so many others, too) are the bumGenius Elemental and the Softbums Omni – Kissed my the moon carries a nice selection of both of these!
I’m between BG 4.0 (she has them), and Best Bottoms (she doesn’t).

Tami is right! If one diaper doesn’t work just try a different type! It just means it is time to place a new fluff order!

My favorite diaper is Charlie Banana Onesize but sadly she doesn’t carry them.
I don’t have a favorite yet. i am waiting on baby girl to be born in March. 🙂 I am sure I will have more than one favorite once she is here. 🙂
My favorite diaper is the is Fuzzi Buns. I just recently purchases some from KBTM! I also like Charlie Banana is and would love to see her start carrying those,also.
