AppleCheeks_1

Are you curious as to what the new AppleCheeks™ prints look like? We’ll you’ve landed in the right place because my little tot has a sneak peek at these PRINTILICIOUS new prints to share with you.  But before I share the pictures with you I thought I would tell you about our experience with AppleCheeks™.  (I know I’m a tease!)

Several months ago the fabulous ladies behind AppleCheeks™ asked if I would help them with a print reveal Twitter party.  Oh that sounded like so much fun so I asked if I could try some of their current products.  I had actually never tried an AppleCheeks™ diaper so I was truly excited for fluffy mail.  We’ve been using the Raspberry Sorbet AppleCheeks™ system, a Dark Chocolate storage sac, disposable liners, and the AppleCheeks™ gentle cleansing concentrate since then and have fallen in L-O-V-E with our AppleCheeks™.

The diaper is a sized system; size 1 (fits 7-20lbs) and size 2 (fits 18-40lbs).  By offering 2 different sizes you can find a much better fit for those wee little babes as well as those hefty chunky babes and tots.  If ordered the size 2 since we’re well into our 2nd year of diapering and almost 25lbs and the size is nice but roomy.  There is certainly room to grow for those heftier babies.  The only advice I would give you if to not try and buy up a size if your baby isn’t quite to that 18lb range; otherwise you might become frustrated if you end up with a leak or two.

The insert is a rayon from bamboo and is super soft. It fits nicely into the envelope style pocket and doesn’t need to be unstuffed prior to washing – it will come out all on it’s own.  The insert is a mix between a prefold and a flat.  It measures 12″ X 15″ so it’s much smaller than a flat but it functions very similarly.  Simply tri-fold/pad fold and stuff it into the envelope.  You can also play around with the fold to create your own unique absorbency.

The storage sac is available in a size 1 and size 2 also. We received the size 1 which is perfect for outings and daycare days.  It has a drawstring closure and comes in the coordinating colors (and prints) for you stylish mommas.  Some people prefer wet bags with zippers but I don’t mind the drawstring closure – I almost prefer them actually for day care.  I also find that my zippered bags (while they do contain liquids better) tend wear out more in the wash – that metal zipper beats up on the bag.

The liners fit nicely inside the diapers and are soft enough that they won’t chafe and irritate your babies delicate skin.  The cleansing concentrate is probably my FAVORITE item in the bunch (well besides the diaper of course).  I tend to be very short on time and my wipes warmer is almost always empty even when I have clean wipes.  I love the spray bottle and handy size because it travels neat and fits in our diaper bag.  I find myself spraying down her hands and face too when we have a little too much fun with our food.  The scent is very mild and the ingredients are nice and natural; a tiny bit of tea tree oil and lavender to make it a little sweet and clean.

Other great AppleCheeks™ products include the waist extender for extra hefty babies (can’t find those on other brands) and sized swim diapers (ummm…hello…I need these badly in FL).

Want to see the brand new AppleCheeks™ prints?? Today is the first day anyone has seen these gorgeous prints online.  We received ours a few days ago and had the opportunity to have a private little photo shoot in our back yard so we could share them with you.  Here are a few of my favorites of Lil’ B eating her golden delicious apple in her Delicious AppleCheeks™ print.
