I’m back!! My honey and I just got back from our 7 day adventure in Costa Rica for our 10 year anniversary. This was one of those dream vacations that was probably bigger in my head than it was in real life. I have been researching travel tips for over a year now and I think we did good with the time we had.
We stayed the first few nights in Arenal/La Fortuna area and the end of the trip in the Papagayo Gulf Coast on the Pacific. There is so much more I would love to see in Costa Rica so I’m sure I’ll be making a return trip one day.
I’ll be sharing some of my travel tips and advice on my mom’s travel blog (CJ’s Great Getaways) later this week. She’s not very blog savvy so she’ll love your comments when the post(s) are up. And if you are ever in the need of a travel agent send her an email and she can help you plan your next trip too.
As for me…I’ll be returning this week with some great new content, tips, and BIG news! I’ll be revealing my BlogHer 11 sponsor. I’ll be reviewing some more cloth diapers. I’ll be reviewing some other eco-friendly products that I have on hand. I’ll tell you the most fail-proof way to potty train your tot…it’s really good too! And I may even have a giveaway or two in store for you.
In the meantime leave me a comment below telling me about the best vacation you’ve ever taken. I’m ready to start planning for our next trip…next time we’ll even take the kids with us.

My husband and I live in Costa Rica, and we’re always curious what places visitors choose. La Fortuna is always a hit, but I’m guessing you didn’t get to see Arenal sputter lava at night, because we were there visiting family a week or so ago, and it was so cloudy that most of the time you couldn’t even see the peak. Glad you had a good trip! (And hopefully many fresh-fruit smoothies “batidos.”)
Hi, would love to hear your thoughts on the family-friendliness of the cities you visited. We are taking our two children, under age 3, for a three month trip there next year. We are considering areas around San Jose..possibly Atenas, or Isidro (sp?).
Where would you take your kids?
