First watch this –

Pretty impressive isn’t it!  In a world where we live and breath all things plastic it’s nice to see products like Kidishes.  If you are like me you often cringe when you pull out that plastic bowl that you bought at Wally World to warm up your child’s next meal – is it ‘really’ BPA-free?  Are there any other toxins we don’t know about yet?  How many barrells of oil were used to make this plastic bowl?  *Yes – these are all real thoughts that go through my head when I look in my cabinets.

Kidishes have actually been around for ages – back before I was born actually – by a company out of France called Duralex.  They’ve mastered the kid-friendly tempered glass plates and bowls and as the story is told over at Zoe b Organics, Duralex is found in all the schools in France.  How did we ever get away from using sustainable, reusable, safe, non-breakable tempered glass?

I was introduced to Zoe b Organics at the Green Blogger Soiree during my BlogHer trip (Who didn’t I meet here?  Seriously I have a ton more posts from the great sponsors of this event!!) and they were nice enough to send me my own set of Kidishes to try out.  They arrived the day after I cleaned out my cabinet of all the old, nasty plates and bowls that we finally decided to donate to Goodwill (we grew up and got adult plates and glasses!).  My husband was puzzled as to why I was getting glass plates and bowls to review – especially when I told him they were KID-FRIENDLY!  He didn’t believe me.

But I was too scared to actually toss them on the ground so I’ll leave the dropping for the video above.  I’m sure Lil’ B will attempt the highchair toss before long and I’m sure I won’t have my camera within reach when she does.  Luckily I won’t have to worry about BPA and other toxins during our meals from now on, I have enough to worry about!

About Zoe b Organics:  It’s a very small online retailer that focuses on carrying a few of their favorite products including:

  • Kidishes (of course)
  • Natursutten BPA and Phthalate free pacifiers
  • EcoNuts (LOVE THEM!!!)
  • Eco-friendly chalkboard stickers (100% biodegradable wall stickers – love the butterfly)
  • On the go sleepy hat (how adorable)
