This afternoon my husband played in a charity softball tournament at the minor league stadium in town. I watched the mercury rise – 91 – 93 – 94 – 95 – 96F! Then I watched the storm clouds come and go but the rain held off. Just as we were good and soping with sweat the lightening started to crash in the distance. We decided to take refuge at a nearby restaurant until the rain passed.

And the rain came – and the heavens opened – and the rain fell for an entire hour! It poured!

The parking lot was flooded when we left and I decided to splash in the puddles (parking pond). Good thing I had flip flops on because the rain was so deep it covered my ankles. I was the only one brave enough to dive in – carrying the boy to the car. All while hubby swiftly climbed the truck and snuck in the back door and avoided the puddles.

And the rain stopped and life returned to normal. I’m glad I’m not too old to splash in puddles!

Are you a puddle jumper?

Not really a puddle jumper, but I might be with Cubby! Sometimes it's good to just let loose! πŸ™‚
