Multiple Giveaways!!! That’s right keep reading for not one giveaway…but two! ECO-ngratulations Pamela (ErbaOrganics) & Julie (Piggy Paint)!
This weekend has worn me out and this is just how I need to spend my evening; a home spa night with my girlfriend who is visiting from out of town.
With all our walking around this weekend carrying the baby our legs and feet are exhausted. I’m so glad that erbaorganics sent me a bottle of their Foot & Leg Refresher to try. This clear gel has a great scent of grapefruit and really leaves my legs feeling nice and invigorating. I’m going to have to start carrying this gel with me when I travel from now on…airports make my legs even more tired than this.
erbaorganics is a great company out of Southern California that makes safe and USDA certified organic mommy and baby products. Their products are all sls-free and paraben-free. They have no added colors or fragrances and have never been tested on animals. You can feel safe when using these products.
I also tried their baby diaper cream and baby lotions on Lil’ B. After all she had a long weekend too. The lotion has a nice soothing smell of chamomile and lavender. The main ingredients in the diaper cream are calendula and echinacea which are known for their healing properties espeically on irritated skin and rashes. Because of the ingredients used to make the diaper cream it is slightly grey in color which is different from traditional diaper creams. Both are very nice products.
So now that we are all refreshed and lotioned up it’s time for an eco-pedicure! Did you know that regular nail polish has been found to contain phthalates, toluene, and formaldehyde along with other chemicals? Companies have been pushed to remove these chemicals from their nail polish but they are still out there. How can you know if your nail polish is safe?
Water, water-miscible acrylic resins and thickeners (well below 100 parts per million), glycol ethers. May contain mica, D&C red lake, ultramarine blue, iron and titanium oxide pigments.
Their moto is “as natural as mud!” They are waterbased and odorless. Piggy Paint is safe enough for kids to use so I know it’s safe enough for me. I’m going to have to get some of this and see how well it works. All I’ve heard from other bloggers is how great the product is and how vibrant the colors are. And what little girl (or big girl) doesn’t like a nice new coat of polish on their nails to make them feel special. I can’t wait until Lil’ B is old enough to enjoy an eco-spa day with me and the girls!
